A Historical Offering
___
The collection consists of a written journal, Over 100 pages,
with a starting entry of Monday Feb. 8, 1943,
and continues throughout on a Daily Basis till Fri. Dec. 31, 1943.
Which date, the Officer was then promoted to Sargent, to take effect Jan. 1, 1944

I really haven't the time to read Everything.

From what I've scanned through, there is some interesting content,
bringing to life the daily routine of an officer on duty througout the year.

One entry reads;
Tuesday, Feb 16, 1943
Tour 10-6 pm Post 6
Lunch 1.15-1.40 pm Silver Diner
2.45 pm Heard and explosion which knocked out the windows on north side of Wayne Merrian Store, 136 Erie Blvd.
3.45 excused by Capt. Flynn to go home to fix windows that were blown out at my home by the explosion at G.C.W. ??
relieved by H. Mc Hinis ?? signed by Sergt. Garkowski - which I see many entries with this man's name.
Though there are other names throughout as well.

Seems this belonged to the Trezza Family,
Police Officers for the City of Schenectady, N.Y.
ALSO APPOINTMENT LETTERS FOR BEING HIRED AS A PAID FIREMAN, AND POLICE OFFICER

There are photographs, Police ID Cards, Interesting Police related newspaper clippings, various Business Cards, which you can see a time line of business ventures.
Such as a Piano Maker, Meat business, Umbrellas etc.
Included is a couple of Memorial Obituary lamenated cards, one from the Miami Herald dated 1957, and the other from Schenectady Union Star, same date.

So  you can get the full idea of this Great History,
we made many clear images
